Subject to confirmation by the FIA on receipt of the entry fees, and publication of the detailed entry list later this week, SRO Motorsports Group is pleased to announce that it has received copies of entry forms for 44 cars, representing an unprecedented record of 12 brands in a single category.

These entries include two Ascari KZ1R GT3, four Aston Martin DBRS9, four Audi R8 LMS, four BMW Alpina B6 GT3, four Corvette Z06R GT3, two Viper Competition Coupe, six Ferrari 430 Scuderia, six Ford GT, two Jaguar XKR-S, two Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, two Morgan Aero Super Sport and six Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S.

The detailed list of all the teams will be published by the FIA in the near future, but the entry of prestigious teams such as Alpina, CRS Racing, Phoenix Racing, Reiter Engineering, Team Rosberg and Zakspeed marks a definitive step up in the growing professionalism of the FIA GT3 European Championship, which is undoubtedly one of the most attractive Championships in Europe. All of the 12 models of car will be taking part in the Balance of Performance tests, taking place today and tomorrow at the Paul Ricard HTTT and on the 1st and 2nd April at Monteblanco in Spain. Single-team entries being limited to a single test, Ascari and Lamborghini will be present at Ricard, while Jaguar and Morgan, both presenting evolutions on their 2008 cars, will make their debut at Monteblanco. All of the other brands, represented by two or three teams, will take part in both test sessions. Official FIA-appointed test driver Christophe Bouchut, assisted by Jean-Marc Gounon, will drive all the models.
