That's a much more realistic prospect.
Hope it finds a good home.
Playing devils advocate though if you don't try you don't get and rare Alpinas can be tricky to put a value on so if not in a hurry to sell then why not chance your luck

Anyone know if this has now sold?

The AT ad has disappeared although it's still on Car & Classic.

I did also find this old link to #66 which appears to have been for sale back in 2015

Not sure if it sold or not. I did show interest and the owner said he would email me copies of all the recent work that had been carried out. I never did hear back from him!!

We bought #66 and she now has a new home 😆

As he never emailed me copies of the paperwork that he promised I got the impression he was not that bothered about selling the car. Therfore I should imagine it is still for sale.

I am not sure how to copy links on my phone. But if you take a look at the Alpina Car Care/Detailing section of the forum Dec 15th 2015 you will see a thread titled "Getting striped up" In that thread you find pictures of what we had done to the interior. It did need some attention when we bought it. But yes it does look very nice in the red 😃

Don't take it personally. He's failed to respond to several genuine enquiries. It'll probably appear again in 6 months time with an even more inflated price tag

It does not bother me like that. I expressed interest when he first put the car up for sale and again more recently when he lowered the price to a figure that I was more comfortable with. All that was stopping me making a move was the MOT history and if all the advisories had been attended too. He assured me they had and all work had been carried out by Sytner and he would email me copies of the invoces. That was the last that I heard from him.

It was clear from talking to him that he knows very little about the Alpina brand. Or "Alpino" as he called it 😕

Just been to find this thread. That interior looks perfect after all your efforts, particularly impressed with the cleaned up stitching, will try that on my M-Tech tri-colour stitching.

That red interior looks even better in the flesh. Very nice combination.

Yes Kevin, was washed since the picture but now dusty again! With your fleet you must have the same problem?

The Elekta is looking mighty fine Dave. I love the BRG coachwork 😀 Unfortunately the M3 is not in such fine fettle. What started as a partial restoration turned into a full blown bare metal nut and bolt rebuild. A lot more rust was found than we first thought. Lots of new or fabricated panels. At the moment she is upside down in a cradle having the underside stripped. Hopefully no more rust will be found than that we already know about. No pictures worth looking at at the moment. Just a shell in grey primer. Martin said he may sell it when finished because he will be scared to drive it it 😕
