|

Hi all,
just had a call from a main dealer where the car is in for an oil service.
Front pads have 2mm left and my front discs have 20mm, and below the minimum 22.4mm.
Understand about the pads, but is this right on the discs? I have my first set of discs on my alpina....
Thought i was in for a relatively cheap service _________________ Tony B

Work in a main dealer myself
Seen a few F10's & F30's requiring them at this sort of mileage, materials in the discs have changed
Surprised it wasn't Rear Pads as F10's with the electronic handbrake go through rear's quicker than fronts _________________ '00 E39 B10 V8 Saloon #456 (Weekend) - Traded

Thanks for this, and am reassured, i also did some further checks, but wanted to be sure.
On the rears, actually, i've already had them done a good few k miles back.
Was very surprised when they went, but it's the handbrake, at least i know why.
Many thanks for your comments. _________________ Tony B
