Sorry Hap, I must have missed your message.
I'm sticking with later style badges..... for now. I do prefer the earlier type so I remain undecided on personal preference but sticking with the status quo.
All four exhaust work, not cosmetic at all.
Not much done recently but I have managed to fix the sticking drivers side glove/gun box and change the soft-as-sponges rubber anti-roll mounts for powerflex mounts - it has cured an annoying post bump/uneven surface shimmy which my spider-senses told me was the mounts. It drove perfectly on good surfaces but just had the sense of an echo of the bump after you'd passed over it. I will probably be looking at replacing the drop-links next but might wait to see what this years MoT uncovers with regards to steering and suspension.
I also resolved my bluetooth conundrum in a fashion. Because of my requirement to keep the retro corded phones functioning and the added complications of DSP, TV, Nav, and M-Bus (not the later and better supported I-Bus) comms system around the car it appeared a wired in bluetooth system had no guarantee of working despite potentially costing a few hundred pounds so I went down the route of a sunvisor-mounted system.
I chose a Sony HCB-150 for a few main reasons;
1. Lcd display to save you guessing whether its connected,
2. Power saving mode for a good battery life
3. Two speakers and digital sound processing for clarity
4. Size.
The size issue was fairly important to me as I didn't actually want it mounted on the visor, I instead (with a bit of trickery) fashioned an invisible mount and can site it on the sunroof access panel just behind the Alpina plaque. It slides out for charging leaving no marks behind at all. _________________ E24man

Nothing much has changed on the exterior; here's the Sony bluetooth;
I also made up a mount for my iPod which sees almost constant use - it was a black plastic material and looked a little 'obvious' so I sourced some champagne leather and covered it.
All three devices, the bluetooth, the ipod and the phone mount can all be clipped or slid out in a second to give a clean OEM look without any evidence they were ever there. I had done the same with my E34 for the phone mount, iPod mount and cupholder - the reason is simple - the 'it must be OEM at all costs' folks turn their noses up when they see anything away from the norm, despite the fact you might need to use it every day. Persoanlly, I am a gadget boy so like having all these things to hand - the iPod and phone mounts in both cars are chargers too so no leads to any 12v sockets.
Next up is a champagne and wood gearknob and a champagne with Alpina stitching gearlever gaiter; I had seen a pic of a late B12 6.0 with it and it looks great IMHO. After that some new tyres and an all round alloy refurb I think - that will hurt my pocket but will be worth it for safety first and looks second.
Edit: It was a late E38 Individual with the champagne set.....

New knob and gaiter (with Alpina stitching), and badges for the mats.
Also did another effortless 700 miles in three days with the family; what a way to travel, even the usually jaded-when-I-talk-about-cars Mrs E24man is continually astonished at just how outstanding and amazing this car is. _________________ E24man

Ebay, but if you have a set from Sytner you might be able to approach them to see if they will help. _________________ E24man
