D3 Bi-Turbo LUX Edition
ALPINA GB is pleased to announce the addition of a ‘LUX Package’ now available to add to D3 Bi-Turbo Saloon or Touring. The LUX Package can be added to the standard specification of D3 Bi-Turbo without incurring the bespoke order charge.
A D3 Bi-Turbo LUX Edition will include the following options above the standard specification of D3 Bi-Turbo:
* Professional Navigation Multi-Media
* Bluetooth Telephone + Telematics
* Voice Control
* Dual Sided Climate Control
* Black High Gloss Interior Trim
Pricing:
D3 Bi-Turbo Saloon LUX Edition £33,950
D3 Bi-Turbo Touring LUX Edition £35,950
The on the road price of a LUX Edition is £3,300 over the standard model D3 Saloon and Touring. Previously these same options would have cost £4,905 with the bespoke order charge and individual price of each option.
A small number of LUX Edition cars are available for immediate order for delivery in March/April 2010.

Gizze - have you chipped your engine ? How are you finding it ( as you suggested that you have mixed feelings about it ). Is the transmission coping ?

Yeah mine is chipped.
That was straight after it was mapped, have done it again since, 3000 miles on and it is now 6.1 seconds pretty much everytime.
Sorry, what I meant regarding the engine is that it's no Straight Six or Rumbling V8, in every other respect it is fabulous.
I wish it had a sweet engine note and revved to 7000rpm, but being an auto the revs are not that important and I will sacrfice the soundtrack for 450 miles to a £50 fill up.
Transmission is fine, same gearbox as some of the much higher powered cars. I think the small turbo is the limit, well with regards to mapping anyway.
