MOT @ 426,595 miles - passed, no advisories
Then had the GM5 unit central locking relays replaced, along with a replacement headlight washer telescope.
Three and a half years should see you on half a mill
Might be a bit longer than that, Brian
"Only" did 16k miles in the last 12 months, rather than my "usual" 20k - a bit careless!

Spent another £1000 on B3 BiTurbo 063 to replace the low pressure fuel sensor and oil filter housing gasket today. That’s pretty much £1000 per month of ownership (only had it five months!), and it still needs top mounts and shocks on the front before the next MOT! As the Germans would say, Kostenfalle!

The B10 has developed a very small coolant leak, after a reasonable length drive I'm seeing dried white powder spotted around the arc of the viscous fan so I'm gonna pre-emptively replace all hoses along with expansion tank and water pump. I've toyed with switching to the 88 degree thermostat but it's NLA so will stick with the higher temps for now at least.

I fitted a thermostat from an E38 740D to my V8S, made quite a difference.
Don't know whether it would be any good for yours.

Did the same to my V8 about five years ago - absolutely no problems since following years of niggling problems and component failures with the OEM silly 115 degree thermostat. Worth noting the E39 M5 V8 also runs around the high 80's too.
Got everything spruced for tomorrow, albeit 150 miles away!
Just missing replacement passenger side front stripes and new wheel centres which haven’t arrived yet.
Got a clean MOT at 182k on arriving home I drained the coolant to replace the thermostat housing seal which had a very small leak. Just waiting on the a/c gas to arrive so I can fill it up again after fixing a leak. I’m going for this environmentally friendly stuff which you can use in either R12 or R134a. Of course I’m not at all influenced by the fact that it’s half the price.
Prepped it for my trip to Italy on Sunday. When I say prepped, I mean I checked the oil and screenwash and then put a couple of bags of Haribo in the door pocket. Perfect.

Had a fantastic week away. Did France, Switzerland and Italy. Spent time in Monza, Maranello and Modena. Spectacular scenery and the roads were epic. Would certainly do it all again.
