Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
See page 109:
Great day out thoroughly enjoyed, finally got to meet Marc76 who offered a valuable critique of my driving technique (or lack of!). Some really useful pointers there Marc, thank you. Good to see Adam & Grahams suspension work paid off. That little E30 can sure hustle round corners, I know, I followed it! I do think you should buy that bigger house though, just to accommodate the wider trailer which then might accommodate bigger rims on the E30?
Smiled at Marc’s comments. I’d liken Brunhild to owning a cat. Sleeps a lot, eats a lot. Soft, fluffy, gentle, purrs with warmth and comfort but can turn savage out in the wild. Slightly envious of the D5s economy but you can’t have everything. All being well catch up again soon guys.

Hmmm ... you appear to have cobwebs on your front bumper ! - I guess you are not driving fast enough to dislodge them ?

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Spent several days in Great Yarmouth therefore decided to tax and drive the B10. The car is still one of the best cars to drive
The ambient temperature sensor was intermittently showing before the trip -25 or whatever the lowest temperature is. Therefore replaced it and is now working perfectly. I am aware this can affect aircon but the aircon has not been serviced in my ownership therefore decided to get this serviced with new oil etc. The aircon specialist said the aircon should be cold before they started the service (replacing the refrigerant). Therefore the sensor is likely to be connected to the DME and was the reason for blowing hot air (but no way of confirming this now, unless I disconnect the ambient temperature sensor which I am not doing ).

I took the B4 to our local monthly car meet this evening. Always gets an amazing turn out for a village in the middle of nowhere….

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Revelling in the V8s mellifluous roar.
600 and more unfettered stallions set free, hooves pounding the dusty earth.
Catapulting along the empty, shimmering, sloe black, crow black ribbon that snaked before me.
I chased down the ocean scented infinite azure horizon that beckoned me to travel ever faster so to join with its edge………..
Then then the lights changed. Daydreaming in road works again!
(apologies to Dylan Thomas. That hot today I've boiled my head)

Drove to Bavaria. This is the third Alpina I have owned and in which I have driven from UK to Germany for a holiday and I have enjoyed stretching its legs. Haven’t enjoyed the price of super 98 (or 99 or 100) but this is an awesome car for a European trip.

Had some corrosion warranty bits to do so I had Synter High Wycombe do it, wasn't trouble free but overall it turned out alright in the end

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Ive bought a new car and its not Alpina, i'd been thinking about a 335i of sorts. Mainly a manual e91 or converting a much more common auto car with a nice spec but then this cheeky moon rock popped up in F31 flavour! With no one really making stuff i fancy this car really is the last manual wagon BMW have built with a decent engine. So i'm going to have a play with it turn the wick up a bit as the N55 engine is very tuneable. I've only seen 2 other manual tourings forsale in my browsing time! So took the plunge. I'd still love an F31 B3 or D3 tbh but they are still £10,000 or more value wise at the minute. I believe BMW dropped the manual option on tourings when they introduced the 340i with the B58 engine. I can see why they are all autos but its got a light clutch pedal and a lovely gear change to it.
Unfortunately i've made the decision to move on the trusty E46 B3S touring and my B12 E38 and just keep my E34 and E30. Frees up alot of time and money and is going to keep the wife a bit happier that we aren't a 90's carpark.
