Some photos of my F31 B3S

Post by sward » Sun Nov 14, 2021 7:25 pm

Hello folks. I thought it was about time I uploaded some photos of my wonderful Alpina Blue B3S Touring. It's my third Alpina, and I think probably my favourite, although my first, the B10 3.3, is a contender too. I took these photos on holiday this summer.

For those of you who are (very) long time readers of Car magazine, you might recall the inspiration for the choice of location.

Regards
Simon

Great pics. Nice part of the world too, we stayed in Aberdovey in 2019, good for beaches and mountain biking.

Ade and Liz, you are right, of course. Ynyslas, on the Dyfi estuary. And yes, it's a great drive there!

Bob - you need to go back to April 1986 - their Countach vs Testarossa feature. And the location is the Dyfi estuary, Dyfed. The feature, and photos always stayed in my mind as being awesome.

Nkotecha - it's a B3S, in Alpina blue with silver deco, with panoramic roof, full black merino leather, piano black Alpina trim, HK stereo, Alpina crests embossed on all headrests, leather trimmed dash, leather trimmed floor mats, basically the works! I bought it from Sytner last March, the weekend before the first lockdown began on the Monday!

I had a print from this photoshoot on my bedroom wall as a kid - Car magazine must have done a run of them, it had their logo in the bottom corner, and was a present from my Mom and Dad. Iconic photo - I'd like to think it's still around somewhere in my parents house......
