White B2.8 - Abingdon

Post by Charles » Thu Dec 06, 2018 9:34 am

Heading home from the school Carol Service yesterday evening and as I was waiting at the Tesco roundabout in Abingdon, I suddenly notice a very distinctive set of green and blue fat stripes on a front wing appearing in my peripheral vision.

Glance across and there is what appears to be a white B2.8 waiting to turn right towards the supermarket. Loads of smiling and thumbs up from both parties before we headed our separate ways - but I must apologise for the dirty car and state of undress as I was in "winter" mode!

Not seen that car around the area before - anyone here?

Was it the one recently for sale at 4Star which is now sold?

Its not an actual B2.8, just a replica of one and carefully worded by 4star.

It was for sale on ebay for a long time a couple of year ago minus the Alpina wheels and with blue stripes not blue and green.

I'm afraid I cannot add to this discussion further as it was a fleeting look in the dark as I was trying to negotiate a roundabout.

Extremely poor effort on my part, clearly :doh

Even if it’s a kitted out 528i, there can’t be many white ones about in full green/blue warpaint. And especially if the 4Star one recently sold. I’d wager it is that one.
