I did question the dealership regarding the safety and i was told that due to a fire risk they strongly advise the car not to be driven. I'm sure there are plenty of cars out there that are being used without the recall work having been carried out.
Anyway had a call today saying the service and recall work has been carried out and the car is ready for collection. So that's 1 week they kept the car for and after numerous apologies by the service manager i was asked to hand over £445, thats considerably cheaper than the £550 i was originally quoted for the service.
