If you don't want Estoril - just save a fortune and buy this - www.autoscout24.ch/4971954

I don't think any duty's apply to old cars from Switzerland as its classed as in the EEA

Switzerland is not part of the EEA, it might be classed as ex EFTA.
Should have said VAT @ 20%
There has never been any relief on old cars, unless it can be classed as Antique.

My mistake then Brian. For some reason I thought vehicles over 10 years old were VAT exempt.

Nope - it will be minus 8% (CH vat), plus 20% and duties
Still much cheaper than the unicorn!!

You could add in a B3S X coupe - with bi-colour lavalina for another 30k - www.autoscout24.ch/5237604

And then a B5 Bi-turbo estate for the weekends - www.autoscout24.ch/5273525

Was reminded of this car recently, just wondering if there has been any news of it since 2018?

From the MOT history it was getting a fresh MOT every year between 2011 & 2018, although it only covered 24 miles in that time. Doesn't appear to have been MOT'd in 2019 or 2020 and as last V5 was issued in 2009, presume it is still in the ownership of the chap who bought it as salvage.
