This weekend - a borrowed Italian bicycle...

I hope it's OK to post this on the forum

On Saturday and Sunday, myself and nearly 40 Volac staff (where I work) and guests will be heading to Italy to take part in our biennial charity bike ride.

We will be cycling between 60 and 100km per day for 2 days close to Perino. The ride will be challenging for all involved, with the more experienced riders being forced on a detour up some nice mountain climbs to make sure they suffer too!

We will be raising money for Cancer Research and would love your support.

Well we all survived, in some shape or form...

...super steep (imho) climb on morning 1 up a very foggy mountain, less steep but much longer on morning 2 - someone said it was 13 miles continuously uphill....

Anyway, we raised just over Â£30,000 for Cancer Research

Thanks. It was described as a "classic" I borrowed from my Italian colleague - I'll dig out a photo if I can. And if I can't upload (having trouble with that) I'll get the name - maybe something like Frank Mosler?

Looks a cracking steed. Nice Campagnolo bits on it too.
Not too sure about the plastic pedals though

I haven't got any of those weird clip in jobs....so my Italian colleague changed them over to these. There were some very expensive bikes in the group eg Pinarello Dogma (?) but most liked this classic one the best! Lucky me!
