This is well worth a watch, a good hour in the factory and some chat about their future. I hate to think what a factory restoration would cost though.

Watched it this morning. Really interesting.

It got me wondering about what, if anything on my G21 B3 Touring would have been done at Buchloe v at BMW. Do all cars go Buchloe before delivery?

Afaik the newer models all done on bmw production line then finished at Alpina with trim options ?

I'm sure I read the front and rear spoilers are all applied at Buchloe? It would be nice to think our cars passed through their workshop!

Their standard of work and attention to detail is second to none.

I'd love to visit there sometime. Is it still possible to arrange a tour though? I think I remember someone said you can no longer do a factory collection?

You're absolutely right though - Alpinas can do it all. For me, they make the perfect family cars - practical and comfortable when you want it, but still fantastic to drive when you want to push on. It's a huge shame the way things are changing forcing it to come to an end - sad times. The new direction does sound promising though.

Alpina have not had their factory open to group tours for a long time , the last time they opened their doors was for the 50th celebration, which was a fantastic day
The visit by the guy who restored the B7 was probably a one off, and it did give Andy a good platform to inform people in which direction Alpina was going.

If my experience in having my B4 BT serviced at the factory is anything to go by, their costs will be very reasonable, although the cost of Oil was eye watering
