Shmee150 G2x B3

Post by Jonnywishbone » Sun Nov 08, 2020 11:45 pm

Shmee ain’t normally my cup of tea. Nothing against him mind. But this one is worth a watch.

He has a walk around and then drives a B3 here.

The thing that stands out for me is his reaction to the acceleration and speed - he seems to be pretty impressed which is saying something given the machinery in his fleet.

Fair play to him he has worked hard / smart to create his brand. But as you say - he is also not everyone's cup of tea.

To me, it seems he has AT LAST understood what an Alpina is, and he presented the review well, despite the annoying voice tone.

However, I can't help feeling that virtually all his comments could have, and should have, been always said about previous generations of Alpina at the time of their model launch.
He seemed genuinely surprised how good the car actually is, and it kind of casts doubt on the breadth and hence the validity of his experience and opinion in the last 10 years of his reviews.

X1 2.0 Twin-Scroll Turbo xDrive #zillion (F48) ... really useful, if only an XB1 existed !

Agree he seems to 'get it' now with a lot of comment on the suspension setup as well as how flipping fast it is. One of the better Shmee videos for sure
