And that's what happens with auctions, you win some you lose some.

I missed out on the recent F11 B5 Touring because someone wanted it more than me and I wasn't going to overpay for it. This older Alpina has a very limited market and if you don't get at least a couple of buyers who really want it then an old car isn't worth all that much.

Because CC want their commission. If it doesn’t meet reserve, no commission for them.

You need to set a realistic expectation for the auction. I was pushed to remove the reserve on my B5 BiT Touring and did but still exceeded it because I knew what price to expect.
