Interesting this has resurfaced and it's white again ... presuming it was a wrap then.

Ah, I did recall that car and wondered if it might be the same one. I was lazy though and posted the new topic without looking it up - shame on me!

Yes, it's a Supercharger. This has the H1/2 engine which was an evolution of the H1. The H1 (500PS) was launched in the E65 B7 and then the E60/61 B5 and E63/64 B6. Then the H1/2 (530PS) was introduced for the E6x B5S and B6S models.

This is a beautiful car! I’d buy it on the strength of that interior alone, re-wrap it in Alpina Blue and you’ve got yourself something seriously special. A proper keeper.

If only I didn’t have a family who consume all my spare cash, I’d be all over this!!😂

looked lovely

what do we think a UK car with that mileage would be, £40k+?

i have heard that the Japanese cars are often in much better condition, is that true?

Value wise it’s very tricky, there’s nothing really comparable been for sale in a while. The few B5S’ around have struggled to get to high £20k’s.

Charles can you merge these threads please: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=23585

As these B6 models only seem to pop up for sale once in a few years in the U.K. it’s very hard to judge. Looking at the prices for them in Europe is possibly a guide as there are a few for sale there as most of them were sold into mainland Europe. European LHD cars are worth more than RHD versions though by around 15% on average it seems.
Japanese imports are usually cheaper still as the satnav etc will be for the Japanese market and the Speedo will be KM which makes them less desirable to some. Also they usually don’t have any service history so mileage isn’t warranted and many have haircuts before arriving here.
The main positive is the lack of corrosion usually as Japanese cars (from South Island especially) due to no salt being used on the roads.
The E63/64 is less prone to this issue as the front wings are plastic composite, the boot lid is aluminium and bonnet is carbon or aluminium depending if it is an S model or not.
