Not too many low mileage D3 BT Tourings about and as a Manual LUX that should put this up there on the desirability scale. Few interesting styling additions that wouldn't be my taste and looks like a good detailing would make a world of difference.

Shame this isn't January/Feb time, I landed a new job a few weeks back and it means I'm on the hunt for a new toy, I'm torn between a D3 Bi-Turbo Touring (the sensible choice) or a B10 3.2/3.3 Touring (heart over head) as we've got a dog. This spec is near enough perfect for me...

I suspect it’s in the process of having the cherished removed Matt. Not long back the more recent MOT’s were still showing.

Hello people, I’m the buyer of the D3.

I had been on the look out for something along these lines, I previously had a Golf R estate which was a tremendous car if a little in your face. However I have an old Audi A6 to chew the 90 mile a day commute to Watford from Surrey and an UP GTI for the wife to nip about in, I was intending on getting rid of the A6 when I bought the D3 , however it just seems too good to use everyday on a long commute.

Anyhow, after seeing the D3 pop up on collecting cars I couldn’t resist. It’s as good as it lucks in the pictures and drives like a dream, it’s incredible having the performance and economy in such harmony.

It doesn’t appear to have anything wrong with it, if I’m being over picky it could maybe do with the alloys re-spraying, however they really aren’t that bad. The son of the guy who owned it was detailer, so it’s had lots of ceramic coats etc, the paint is like glass. The previous owner had the callipers respirated professionally in red and had some retro fit zenon headlights installed, I was slightly unsure on the lights, however having seen and used them I cannot say I am compelled to change them back to the originals.

Would be keen to hear of anything I need to look out for or any views on the car.

Car looks great, in the words of Andreas Bovensiepen, ALPINA's are meant for driving so it's the perfect thing for your commute, especially as it's a D3 BT.

Thanks Bob, I certainly will enjoy the D3. You know you have a good one when you turn round multiple times whilst walking away from it!
