"seems to go up in value" Not an expert on the car prices, but I thought it seemed rather steep. Just me or would others agree? Not that I would be disgrunteld if the owner did sell at that price. I'd be very happy with the value of my B3 saloon of the same same year :-)

This was sold by Barry (owner at BMR) a little over a year ago after he had spent considerable time and effort getting this up to spec: addressing many of the usual N54 weaknesses and adding the digital gauge cluster, rear blind and dekor. I believe he sold for around £14k. Since then it has been through a couple of owners and a dealer and each time the price has crept up.

By way of comparison, #187 was auctioned in Nov-20 and only got bids to £11.1k (it appears to have sold though). That particular car is on 67k and didn't appear to have any evidence of the maintenance #185 has had, but is #185 worth £9k more?

It was a great car which i enjoyed very much.

Pity the current owner has fitted ebay Alpina roundels to it.

£19995 is a joke and even £18k is over priced.

I spent a pretty penny on the car during my time with it and it will be a good buy for someone at the right price.

Full thread on the car with everything I did to it.

Yep, it’s mine for the moment.... another one of those heart over head moments as I know Alpinas are difficult to move on (as clearly evidenced in this case!) but knowing the work that Barry has done and the high regard he held the car in was a massive draw. Right price paid too, IMO. It won’t be sold for some time anyway.

Only driven it from Nottingham to Sussex but I already love it 😊

Cheers
