Not sure if already being discussed. Keenly priced? She's certainly seen some action at the front...

F30 D3 BiTurbo #080

Post by Bob » Sat Jan 09, 2021 11:06 am

That looks so wrong without the front splitter.

It's pretty basic spec-wise and the early cars with few options seem to struggle more generally.

Agree spec is sparse inside...especially when there are nicer specced normal BMW F30 cars to be had for 10K.

The BMW logo airbag and lack of front spoiler could point towards an unrecorded front end repair of some sort. Pure speculation of course....! Hmmmm.

#063 has been for sale since Feb-19, initially as a private sale then with this dealer since Oct-19 after it was chopped in.

The steering wheel and the front spoiler would make me wary of #80 and even if whatever caused it could the previous owner not care enough to get it repaired to Alpina standard. If so what else could they not care about. Also given the 30k mileage difference and only £1k in price I would still prefer #63 if I had to choose and negotiate on.

I strangely like the cloth more than I think I would’ve done. Would be nice to see a come back of the alpina stripes in the cloth. More comfortable to sit on too

The Green Touring, #013, has the ALPINA striped cloth which is rare as rocking horse poo. Could only find 2 F31's globally that had it.

Sensational. Could be one of the last Alpinas to be ever produced with striped cloth maybe?

Good chance it's the last UK car I'd say, unless there's an option for the G2x?

Whilst there is the base option of cloth on both the B and D I cannot see any option for any stripes. Could be done on special request hopefully

From the price lists I’ve seen for the F3x there was no mention of the striped cloth either. Suspect it may have been an “on request” kinda thing

This has its splitter on now but seems to have gone on quite wrong? Looks off to my eyes

I agree. The splitter looks warped and it appears to be pointing skywards, giving it the Jimmy Hills.
