The advert says it's a B3, the plaque looks like a D3 with my poor eye sight...

Going by the the low red line on the rev counter I say it’s a D3.

It’s definitely a D3, and B3 #140, whilst it hasn’t been officially spotted, is in the middle of a run of a Japanese cars so it’s most likely over there.

Looking at the state of the climate control panel, it'll need a deep clean! Price seems reasonable for the spec. Depends on all the other factors of course.

It’s a 7 year old car with over 100k miles. My B5 BiTurbo of the same age has 77k miles and I don’t expect much more for that.

I've not heard of anyone who has actually viewed it, but I was similarly surprised that even with the spec and being the cheapest D3 around it hasn't gone yet.

Being a diesel I'd be more wary of a low mileage example, these are made to clock up the miles and being used on motorway/long runs will keep it in much better shape than short, stop/start trips round town. There's a few F3x D3's with 150k+ miles so with sympathetic maintenance, there should be plenty of life in it yet.

I actually called up to get details about this one and was sent the service history. It only has 3 BMW services in the iDrive - presumably to keep the warranty valid - the last one being at the start of February 2018 on 65554 miles. I enquired as to whether there where any records of services since that point and they sent me a receipt for an oil and filter change and 2 new tyres back in June 2019, but no mention of mileage. This was all they had. They did however reassure me that it would have a full service before leaving them...
