Roadster S #160

Post by Bob » Sun Jan 20, 2019 10:12 pm

This one has re-appeared for sale, reputed to be Simon Le Bon's car originally I believe.

That's a good asking price isn't it?

Yes, Simon Le Bon was the first owner - when it came up for sale a few years back, I spoke to the (2nd) owner and he said that the V5 had Le Bon as the previous owner

I would say so, especially given the parts replaced under warranty and compared to the small group of other RS's for sale recently.

Reading through the MOT history is interesting.

Seems one place they took it to was their first Alpina
Vehicle Identification Number has more than one different number displayed (6.3.5.b)
This was in two consecutive MOT's, not sure if addressed or was just MOT shopping
Offside Rear Brake pipe excessively corroded front to back
I'm not that familiar with the MOT specifics, what would this refer to?
Body insecure and dangerous to other road users (6.1.B.1b)
If it lasts till Sunday I'll be there in the morning to have a look. Unfortunately cannot take any time off work earlier.

Yep, someone on the Z4 forum snagged it, had even organised a hire car for the Saturday :(

#306 seems the tidiest on the surface out of the 4 on offer now.

Looks like Simon Le Bon's RS is back up for sale. Had a bit of work recently by the sound of it.

Didn't realise there was a manual box option for the Roadster
Another reason I should really give the B3 biturbo the heave
Roadster S with a spurtle is an itch needing scratched
