E91 B3SBiturbo #127 **SOLD**

Post by ade and liz flint » Wed Aug 25, 2021 2:52 pm

Greetings all. The time has come to look at moving on #127 as quite simply we've had such changes here that we just cannot justify keeping the set of cars we have atm and I dislike seeing cars sitting and barely used as ours currently are, and that is unlikely to change, now.

Synopsis of the car is as follows:- I purchased this from a friend in July 2018. I've known the car and indeed helped the previous keeper with his ownership and therefore know its history back to around 2013. It's a 3 keeper car inc me and was 1st registered on 1st September 2011 at Sytner Cardiff by the original private purchaser. The car has never been raced, tracked, stolen or accident damaged in its life. It has been stored in bone dry garages since 2013, and inspection beneath shows the car to be in exceptional clean corrosion-free order as would be expected.

Finished in Space Grey with full silver deco set, the car was lightly specced when new with the Panoramic roof, Sun protection glass, Climate comfort windscreen, piano black interior with insignia, Front seat lumbar support, DAB radio plus cd changer and BMW business loudspeaker system and heated black Dakota leather with Alpina roundels. As an SE spec base-car it comes with xenon lights, sat nav, hard drive storage, memory seat, 4x electric windows, rear ventilation, rear parking sensors etc It is one of only 3 E91 B3Sbiturbos in the UK, the only one with this specification, and may be a true one-off in this specification..

The condition of the whole car is genuinely exceptional: the paint has a smooth, deep lustre and very few chips or marks, and one small (no paint damage) dent in the NSR panel, possibly caused by someone knocking it with a trolley. The front bumper/splitter was removed and properly prepared before a repaint when I bought the car as it did show the signs of grit damage, and the finish and match is perfect. It was refitted with the correct stripes. Interior is virtually unmarked and the Alpina mats are clean and hardly marked. A full set of BMW rubber mats is also with the car for winter use, and the boot has the original BMW plastic liner to protect it.

The only modifications from factory spec are the installation of a Quaife LSD (original open diff included with car) installation of the passenger side footwell 12V socket to enable dashcam install and removal of phone tray to a rubber oddments tray in centre armrest.

Everything on the car works as it should and looks like new. Also included would be an emergency spare wheel kit and an indoor car cover, plus any odds and sods I have such as spare wheel bolts as locking bolts are fitted.

History: just had correct oil, filters, brake fluid service in past month. Serpentine belts changed too at the same time (known N54 related issues with old belts) and it has a no-advisory mot at 53,365 miles dated 06/07/21. At the previous service in 2019, the Automatic transmission fluid and filter was changed along with the spark plugs (performed earlier than service required just because...literally maintained regardless). Aircon was also re-gassed and cleaned and works perfectly and a new battery was fitted in 2019. I do not have my cars serviced at BMW main dealers as they keep getting things badly wrong, so all my work is done by trusted and known to me independents who are car enthusiasts first and foremost. I removed and replaced all brake discs and pads and replaced them less than 4K miles ago. Tyres are Pilot Sport, PS2 rear, PS4s front which are in the latters case brand new and the former have covered 2-3k since fitment. The C10 wheels are unmarked in sparkle silver finish with diamond cut and lacquered spoke tips and carry perfect badges, Alpina-specific internal labels and have good anti-rattle pads (I think I have some spare pads which I'll include too). The service book is fully stamped and up to date with all recalls performed in the past, too. There is a comprehensive document pack, and all correct service and owners books present including the ALPINA supplementary's. All wheels carry the same lock number and two sets of keys and Alpina keyrings are present.

I would prefer the car to pass to another enthusiast, hence my post on here. Any enquiries I'd rather discuss privately so contact me through the messenger here and I will discuss the car at detail with any genuinely interested party: I don't wish to be rude, but I'm not going to discuss private matters on here. Completely no hurry here if anyone needs to raise finance etc so no expectation this will be a quick sale: needs the right owner for me to let her go to. Unlikely I will advertise elsewhere for some time unless it's met with a flat lack of interest, but it needs to move on at some stage to free up space in my garage as outside storage is a no-no due to the coastal conditions where we live.

So, it's here, ready for any inspection or trial anyone cares to throw at it and it looks bloody lovely. I'll be very sad to part with the car, but life doesn't always give you what you always want, so get in touch if you'd like to chat about this very rare opportunity which requires absolutely nothing until the next mot due date. Below is a link to images we used in our original post after we bought it to give an idea what we've got, plus the reg is clear for any history checks you may wish to perform:

Hope somebody takes it before I change my mind.... :doh

Long time no hear from :D , Hope you and Liz are well.

If only you had posted a fortnight ago, I have been looking for an Alpina touring for a long time, a B3S would have been perfect to join my E93 B3S.

Only just given up the search and have bought a F31 328i, not quite the same but hey ho.

Hope you have good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the 👍 though: appreciate it

400bhp @ 6k, 540Nm @4.5k, 2979cc N54 (massively tunable and unburstable: look at US tuners: mad) twin turbo il6 with mahle lightweight pistons: very sub 5sec to 62mph, 184mph. Let's say...very quick. They NEED the LSD to tame them.

She's lovely: actually in better condition than #97 was. ( For those that don't know, Mike bought D3BT #97 from me many moons ago) I think the space grey paint ages much better than the sapphire black does. However, I still miss the Chuckability of those D3's 🥰

Good luck with the sale, someone's going to get a belter...

Thanks, Perry: nice to hear from you, and kind words. Hope you're all good?

I've been staggered by the interest. To all of those who have messaged me, thankyou for your time and interest whether it goes anywhere or not. You've all been kind, respectful and above all interested: much appreciated

Never too late Simon. There has been far more interested than I ever thought would be in my old lush-wagon  A few sleeping on it and I expect it to go on for a while. Just take your time and think it over all that are interested and no sleepless nights: all calm this end. She'll go to a good home, whatever, and however long it takes.
