Adam, Now you have got me started.

How about an E46 M3 Touring. A few have been built, some better than others.

I need to lie down.

I built one in 2017.

I pinched our 330i auto touring off the mrs and bought a manual E46 M3 convertible as a donor car and used everything from the M3, engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension, complete axles, instruments, front seats (from a coupe), DSC system everything.

It drove the same as an M3 but had sleeper looks as the body was completely standard. The only downside initially was the exhaust was on the loud side as I had not got round to having the spare wheel well removed to run the M3s quad exhaust system.

I had intended to do this as well as the full M3 wide arch body conversion but sold the car to put the money into BMR.

I have asked the current owner to sell it back to me but they are using it daily and dont want to let it go!

Still, onto the next project so an E39 M5 touring build is currently in full swing!

This looks great! Approximately how many hours of labour does it take to marry an E46 330i to an E46 M3? And how much would it cost someone without the knowledge, tools or space to commisson such a vehicle from BMR (excluding the cost of the two E46s)? Ballpark figures.

A couple of weeks labour to strip both cars and build one. Roughly £6k+ vat plus any new parts required.

Rav, to be honest I not a big fan of the E46, Marc 76 had a 330d saloon which was rapid and I spent a number of years following it all over Uk and to the Ring. But I didn’t gel with the M3 I had the seats were awful and I couldn’t get a comfortable driving position. I much prefer the E30 as I seem to have a lot of confidence in the chassis and I’ve maintained a few. The E36 is very similar to driving a e30, just a bit bigger. The E46 however is like driving a much more modern car.
O/T but interesting comment about the seats, I really struggle with my e46 (coupe) seats. The look amazing, and like they should support you just right, but somehow I can't get comfy.

Apologies, I have been hiding head in sand to avoid thinking about selling her.
She is still for sale and can be seen in Battersea.
Hello,

Thank you for updating with some pictures, I dropped you a private message back in February, I am still potentially interested. My contact details are in the message.

Many thanks.

Interesting development on that front. Turns out there are at least 10 3.3 Tourings! The one on page 1 is actually #132 which was assumed dismantled back in 2012. This one should be #145 unless there's an 11th!!

Think that was the number everyone assumed, but based on this, it looks like all these are UK cars (just waiting for Kees to confirm):
Pre-LCI: #036, #085 & #089
LCI: #101, #102,#107, #108, #113, #132, #145
B3 3.2 TOURING #062
