Are head gaskets typically an issue with 3.3’s? Thought their Achilles heel was high oil consumption, but that usually affects earlier cars.
As Simon says, HGs on the 3.3 are fine - it's the 3.4 where they are the issue.

The oil consumption issue was for a batch of 3.3 engines circa 1999/2000

At that mileage I would have thought it’s the torque converter/gearbox that may need attention? #113 is now on 160k miles on original HG but second gearbox rebuild. The latest being the manual conversion by BMR.

I went to view this car as I was in the office today and Jamie is not far. I am considering the car but happy to give an honest assessment if anyone is interested, albeit my limited knowledge.
Current Collection:
F30 B3 BiTurbo #133, C2 2.7 #515, B3 3.3 Touring #113
E46 M3 manual, E92 M3 manual
Porsche 997.1 Turbo Manual, 997 GTS, 996 C4S, 911SC Targa
Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale
Lamborghini LP560-4 Manual
