Alpina B10 3.3 No 47
Alpina B10 3.3 No 47
Hello all
I’ve just listed my B10 on eBay, if any one is interested please let me know. I think the car is probably known to a couple of people on here as I brought it off of a former forum member who was based up in Scotland, John Anderson was his name I think. It’s a good car mechanically but is suffering from a lot of rust. If I can figure out how to upload pictures I will. Within 10 minutes of the listing I’ve Had three people asking how much I would except for a quick sale, don’t want to let it go to cheap, Honestly how much do you fellow Alpina enthusiasts think it’s worth.
Thanks Farrell

To my knowledge this year, there have been 7 pre-LCI and 9 LCI B10 3.3's offered for sale. Mileages range from 51-157k and prices from £5.5 to £15k. There isn't much evidence that any of these actually sold though, since the majority are still for sale or there hasn't been any update to the V5 recently. The only one I know sold was #118 which was sold by Old Colonel with 88k and last advertised at £11k.Farrell69 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 6:32 pmHello all

Examples of comparable pre-LCI cars:
B10 3.3 [E39] #057; 317 - Orient Blue/N6TT - Grey Montana w Blue Piping Leather; 2000_W; £10.0k; 98k; Trade; Removed Jul-20
B10 3.3 [E39] #102; 354 - Titanium Silver/N6SW - Black Montana Leather; 2000_W; £9.3k; 128k; Private; Removed Jan-20
B10 3.3 [E39] #110; 335 - Estoril Blue (Sonderlack)/N6SW - Black Montana Leather; 2000_W; £10.0k; 115k; Private; Removed Oct-20
Last one to be offered as an auction was #198. It was guided at £7-9k and got a bid of £7k, but hadn't reached reserve. This car has been for sale literally years, was previously owned by a member here and it has also been serviced by CPC Engineering quite recently. There is no specific mention of rust issues that I've seen so that might be an indication of the likely market for an average condition car .
B10 3.3 [E39 LCI] #198; 354 - Titanium Silver/N6SW - Black Montana Leather; 2002_02; £7.0k; 142k; Auction; Removed Sep-20

Bob Thanks for posting up the link
I’ve set the reserve at 5k but I don’t think it will reach that, will just have to wait and see.
It’s got rust and needs painting but the mechanics are all good, if it doesn’t sell I’ll probably end up getting it all sorted.

£5k is reasonable given you’ve got a mechanically sound car which still has ALPINA suspension parts for extra originality.
As a pre-LCI the specs are generally more basic but as they’re all manuals that can be more appealing to many.

For the price quoted for the work to be done I would be tempted to keep it. You'll have a great looking car at the end.Farrell69 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 11:00 pmBob Thanks for posting up the link

Re: Alpina B10 3.3 No 47
problem is its an honest looking car that doesn't hide its faults so some will just pass by as they can't knock you for unforseen items, but how many will look at the interior and pass because it doesn't have leather?
that'll be their first mistake, the interior looks really cool IMO, I'd rather that than leather. GLWTS though, hope you get what you want.

eBay Auction finished yesterday
The 5k reserve was met but guess what, the winner isn’t answering my messages.
I’ve read his feedback and his done it before. Probably going to list it again unless anyone on here is interested.

Sorry to hear that. I really don't understand why these people feel the need to bid when they've got no intention of buying.
