D10 Bi Turbo No 88

Post by MischaRS » Wed Jul 15, 2020 4:19 pm

This lovely 2003 D10 Bi Turbo Kombi in Alpina Blue is currently being totally restored. I bought it a few weeks ago and the garage we use has gone through the car with a toothcomb.
It will be for sale in the very near future .
I will either be Auctioning the car, in Europe or UK.
Mileage is nearly 230,000 km. Interior is now as new, bodywork undergone a full Stage 2 paint correction.
Wheels refurbished
Engine undergone full service, injectors, turbos upgraded.
Pls text 07957 856281 if you are interested. Otherwise it will go on the open market. Thanks

E39 D10 BiTurbo TOURING #088

Post by Bob » Wed Sep 02, 2020 3:31 pm

The auction is now live on The Market. Looks nice in the images, but it would look better debadged with just BMW roundels for me.

Few nice extras like the ALPINA boot carpet and a towbar by the look of it.

Apart from being a left hooker the badging doesn't do it any favours. Correcting that might help.

Saying that I do think it is a lovely looking car and the colour does suit the estate shape very well.

anyone read the pistonheads advert?! its brilliant car dealer shite with lots of incorrect details/facts thrown in to reinforce the car dealer stereotype that car dealers know nothing about cars!

This was on here in June with its the long term owner asking 5K for it! Had proper BMW roundels and no silly fake badges then

I would steer clear of the D10. They all break down and are horrendously expensive to repair, especially the injectors.

Nobody wants them on the mainland..

After 13 years of ownership I am probably going to sell my much loved D10 touring (E39). It's LHD (originally bought when we lived in France but now on English plates, 52 Reg) and done 230K KM. The car has got an MOT to June 2021 with one advisory (lightbulb for rear numberplate) which has been addressed. Proper service history.

Any ideas of approx value (?around GBP5K?) and best place to sell?

Any thoughts welcome...will try to upload some piccies shortly.

Cheers!
