Well, it’s sold and if it was a private buyer, someone got a bargain!! £15,600 + fees.

Think WBAC might need to reconsider their business model: purchase price £18k-ish, CAP Clean £16,750, sale price £15.6k :think

Wonder what went wrong with that then? I watched the bidding and it was sold rather than a provisional. :think

ETA: Looks like it's on a different sales account, wonder if the buyer has chucked it straight back into an online sale.

Can/do BCA buy there own cars in and then re-offer them later?

BCA own WBAC, the business model is buy the cars and offer then straight through the auctions for a quick turnover.

Thanks Bob, yes I know that - I wondered if they might 'buy cars in' at the auction if there was not enough interest and offer them again at a later sale. Would look like the car 'sold' in that case.

Never heard of them doing that, but anything is possible I guess. Would seem unlikely at the current time as, generally speaking, the demand for auction cars is outstripping supply, so even if a few cars are sticking it wouldn’t significantly impact their overall performance stats. Friends in the trade have reported some crazy prices being paid for cars at auction, way above reasonable retail prices.

Apparently the BIN for this is £16,950. Could be a good buy for someone.

Thanks. So indeed does just look like someone looking for a quick profit. Fair enough.
