F31 D3BT Melbourne Red

Post by Jay964rs » Wed Mar 04, 2020 9:03 pm

Hi All,
I’m thinking of selling my Melbourne Red F31 D3 BT 2015, which I’ve owned for nearly 4 years.
I’m the 2nd owner, 63k Miles, full BMW history (oil service just done, along with MOT in Feb). 20” wheels, Pan roof etc. Professional ceramic coating (go to exclusive car care for pics of work)
I’m not sure what price I should be asking, so any guidance is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for getting the detailing link to work, and also your feedback on the price region.
It’s a lovely car, but I just don’t do the miles anymore to warrant a diesel.
Cheers again.

£1500 all in.
Outstanding job and the car is so easy to clean now, even though the detail was done a couple of years ago.

These are the other pre-LCI F31 D3's that have been for sale in the last 6mths or so. Prices listed are the last advertised prices

D3 BITURBO TOURING [F31] #004 Glacier Silver/Everest Grey Dakota Leather; 2014_14; £14.0k; 220k; Private
D3 BITURBO TOURING [F31] #013 Alpina Green II/Anthracite Move Cloth; 2014_14; £18.0k; 90k; Private
D3 BITURBO TOURING [F31] #040 Imperial Blue/Silver Dekor/Oyster Dakota w Black Leather; 2014_14; £27.0k; 50k; Trade
D3 BITURBO TOURING [F31] #042 Alpina Blue II/Black Dakota Leather; 2014_14; £29.0k; 54k; Trade
D3 BITURBO TOURING [F31] #063 Glacier Silver/Black Dakota Leather; 2014_64; £26.5k; 67k; Trade
D3 BITURBO TOURING [F31] #066 Mineral White/Black Dakota Leather; 2014_64; £30.0k; 38k; Trade

There have also been 4 LCI's but they're 65-plates or younger and less than 50k miles, so not directly relevant for comparisons.

#013, #040 and #066 were confirmed as sold and #040 is now a CAT S.

I'm 99% sure yours is the only RHD F31 D3 in Melbourne Red so that's a plus and with the 20's, Pan Roof & Pro-Nav, it's well spec'd.

The best indicator of value is #042, which is the only one currently advertised and has: similar spec & 2-owner but 10k less miles & a 14/14 rather than 15/64. It has been up with the current dealer since Sep-19 when it started at £35k. The last private owner had advertised it at £26k in May-19 and appears to have traded it in.

Hope that helps.

Holy moly, thanks very much for the comprehensive info.
That’s all very detailed stuff.
I’d prefer to see it go to an enthusiast rather than trader, but we don’t live in an ideal world (sadly).
I’ll compile an advert soon.
Thanks again for the info.

I can remember this car coming through the BCA auction local to me and then it went to a dealer in Petersfield who tried to sell it for quite a while the price was miles high until they dropped it to market value

Love it

Hi,

I purchased mine around the middle of last year (2014 F31 D3), with a very similar spec and only slightly lower miles, sadly in a much more boring colour scheme!

If I was going to advertise your car I would probably start late £20's (£28/£29k) and then see how it goes, I hope you would get at least mid £20's for it.

The spec is good, the red will put some buyers off, but personally I love it, but then I did own an Imola Red E39 a few years ago.

Best of luck with the sale. I hope it finds a good home on here!
