B5 Touring

Post by Marc 76 » Wed Jul 21, 2021 9:56 pm

At Blyton Park today- went for a look around it but nobody there...

Very nice thing though!

Meant to pop back to speak to the owner and get some better shots but time ran away from me!

Correct, Gainsborough.

Had a look but difficult to see, could have been 256 or 356 but really cant be sure if either. Sorry, huge fail! One distance shot and no build number...
It was a 20 plate though.

Whilst I do like a challenge, a little more info might be needed to say for sure.

Did you get any of the letters from the reg? As a 20-plate it's likely to be a much later build number than the 200-400 range (#235 is Oct-18 and #375 is Apr-19 for example)

I'd guess at #526 which is ALPINA Green over Smoke White Merino with no Sun Protection (and it's a transposition of your recollection).

Regardless of which one it is, that's a great spot. An Alpina Green B5 Touring is a fine thing!

Bob you may have it bang on at that- looks identical! I'm not familiar with the G series interior trim colours but it was bordering on white; Smoke White sounds about right. Definitely black piping too.

Cant be sure on the plate although A's and V's are somehow lodged in my mind. Again, i meant to go back to try and speak to the owner but they were too busy with a Cayman race car they were runnning. Then all of a sudden the B5 left early afternoon...
