Alpina XB7 In Sheffield

Post by big blue » Sat Jan 02, 2021 11:52 pm

What must be a very rare Alpina in the UK, the XB7. Number 26 in black with silver decals. Having looked at it close up, this is probably the best colour for its profiles and shape as it is a big SUV. It looked better in the flesh than I expected, I think the wheel/colour combo was one of the better ones. For the price of this XB7 you could get a new D3 AND a new B3 combined which is food for thought, one for work and one for the weekend!

...let alone a waste of good raw materials. Embarrassing.

I am not in the market for an XB7, its a big bus. You know my view, the preference would be a "D3 for work and a B3 for the weekend" though I be happy to swap them round just for fun.

It's saying something isn't it, when 23's are being considered too small! :doh

Whatever the consensus on the Alpina XB7, if this is the only one in the UK as a stock vehicle available for sale, it could be in a very rare club as the rarest car in the UK as the only one in the UK (unless anyone knows of another one).

So a rare unloved ugly duckling seems to be the consensus

I've not seen any others in the UK yet and given we're not really the intended market for these, I doubt many will end up here. The later generation B7's haven't been big sellers either and I'd expect more demand for a B7 than XB7 amongst learned ALPINA buyers :think
