It was almost me, but not quite, as I was close by on the M40 on Saturday. There’s only about 5 (poss 6 with the Alpina Blue showcar) it could be, although not all may read the forum. Interesting as I’ve never seen another F11 apart from mine!

It was almost me, but one day too early. I did Derby, Nottingham, Henley, Reading, Oxford on Monday in my Blue F11 D5. Spotted a Black D3 Touring in Caversham but didn’t get the reg.

Still enjoying it then? I haven’t done many long trips, but was impressed by the comfort power and economy, did London and back in a day from the N West

Love a good detective hunt. So as Howard said, there were seven 'blue' F11 D5's:

- pre-LCI: 2 x Imperial Blue & 1 x ALPINA Blue
- LCI: 3 x Imperial Blue & 1 x ALPINA Blue

We can exclude two Imperial Blue cars (one pre, one post) and based purely on a sighting by Rob back in Jun-22 at the Oxfordshire Golf Hotel, which ain't far from Wheatley, I'm gonna stick my neck out and guess it was #076

Didn't know any of them had been a show car, do you know whether it was the pre or post LCI car?

My D5 is only used for long distance trips. It is the best way to travel. Yesterday’s trip was with a passenger, a full boot and an 8 metre long sculling boat on the roof rack for the journey from Nottingham to Henley and still achieved an indicated 50mpg cruising at a steady 70mph.

I will be doing another 350 miles this week so plenty of chance to be spotted around the Midlands!

Interesting about the rowing (something I did as well some time back),
Bob, I thought the Alpina blue F11 was listed as the Geneva show car.

Think i see what you mean now. These are the two UK F11 D5's in ALPINA Blue, neither of which was a show car afaik:

This is the Geneva show car in ALPINA Blue:
