Spotted this in the service parking of BMW Colchester. Looked to be in fantastic condition all round.

Trying to work out which # this is - according to the DVLA it was first registered in March 2006.

It doesn't match any of the registration plates I have for age & colour (but it may have had the plate changed)

How closely did you look at it?

Did you notice the interior colour as the photo lacks colour definition in the cockpit area? I suspect it's red from the tone but can't be sure

If you peered through the windows did it have the pop-up satnav unit on the top of the dash

Not a registration I've come across before either, but based on the current reg's I do know, my shortlist of Mar-06 registered Titanium RS' is:
- #297 with Black Leather, non-LUX or,
- #298 with Red Leather, don't know for certain but assume non-LUX also (given build number is between 250-300)

I'd say from the pic it has a seat cover so not idea which colour leather, hopefully churchie did a proper inspection

I only had a quick look through the widow ... it was not a red leather interior.

Reg' plate had Cooper Chelmsford as the dealer, so I assume the car has been in Essex for a while.

Well, if it ain’t Red, all the other UK Titanium cars had Black, so my money is on it being #297 and therefore #298 should be FJ06JJY going off other info I have.

Interested to see what Perry thinks?

If it doesn't have a red interior
It can't be
#295 as that was first registered in July 2006
#296 as that was first registered in July 2006 (and exported in 2011 - last known location was Germany in 2013)
#298 as that has red leather

It could be
#251 if it's had its plate changed
#297 if it's had its plate changed (I have FJ06 JJY down for #297 but with a query against it so it's possible that #298 could be FJ06 JJY)

There are two other possible cars but I have few details other than colour, not even date of registration

Well, having just called a favour and got a history check for the two regs:

AY06LZK is coming back as #298 and FJ06JJY is #297

As it's #298 it must be a red leather interior...

...but Churchie says it wasn't red...

Seat covers?
Seats changed?
A trip to SpecSavers for Churchie?

I only took a brief look through the drivers window - to see the build number badge but spot couldn't it (where is it on a roadster). I didn't see red seats or door cards. It did have a white platic service cover on thte driver's seat, but that was torn and what was behind was dark. Don't recall seeing Alpina logos on the seat back either.

Could it have had an interior swap or retrim? Not everyone likes red.

I might pop back tomorrow and have another look.

VCheck does reveal VIN xxxxxx298 and the Archive says Red interior. So I'm now questioning myself. Might still be there tomorrow ... it had an MOT refusal on Thursday .... Nearside Rear Coil spring fractured or broken.
