Hap

Please see picture. I'm hoping that a good clean and re-colouring will do the trick.

Update

Will try "Colin" shortly too.

The people in Somersham put me on to a chap (Simon at Cambridge Concours) - he looked at the photo and thinks the bolster was previuosly repaired hence the colour came off on cleaning. He's quoting £150+VAT to reconolise the bolster.

Another approach is A&R Pound in Baldock. They want £80 to physically replace the leather (I guess +VAT).

Finally one other speciaist who no longer offers colouring said that someone he knew had good success with "leather balms with dye" recently, which could be a low cost "give it a try".

I'll try to upload a pic too in a sec...

I am also a fan of Colourlock, used their stuff to restore the steering on my B3. They are also great at colour matching for your seats.

Congrats on the new (used) Volvo! Gliptone is indeed a good choice for Nappa leather. You might want to start with their cleaner, and if needed, follow up with a conditioner to keep it soft and supple. As for the specific one, I'd recommend checking reviews and getting one that suits your needs. For more leather care tips, you can also check out https://vonbaer.com/blogs/blog/what-is-leather-tanning. Your Volvo seats will be looking fresh in no time!

Checkout www.leathercare.com, these guys used to represent Colorlock but now have all their own product called Geist, all plant friendly and I just used them to restore my Steering Wheel and the Champagne Lavilina seats in my E46
