Has anyone had any joy rubbing down and painting their badges? Theres some quite bright chrome paints out there now.

If anyone has a manky set of D3 badges lying about i'll give it a go.

What you really need is a set of alien blue glowing Alpina letters projected on the pavement when you open the doors.

Would an earlier style "alpina" decal (similar to E36/E46 ones) be acceptable on a D3 do you think??

Sorry Arvi - coming late to this thread. I needed a new one when I brought home my Sytner ex demo E92 D3BT in 2009. They sent me the replacement which was the wrong size (I think too small but I can't remember what I had for breakfast today let alone precise details from 2009!) but it comes down to the saloon and coupé having the two different sizes. Where the touring and cabriolet fit in I couldn't tell you.

Only just seen this too. For reference for anyone with a D3 MT saloon 2006 the size you need is 300mm for the front splitter "ALPINA" sticker.
