Female logic

Post by Charles » Wed Jan 12, 2011 2:04 am

Can anyone help me understand why my darling wife has chosen to ignore the low fuel warning alarm for the third time in the last 12 months and then wondered why she has run out of diesel?

And to add insult to injury, having got the thing restarted with two cans of gloopy stuff, Tesco refuse my version of her credit card and I have to fill the bloody thing up on my account?

Mind you, the nice RAC man who helped me get it started - despite enough fuel in the tank there wasn't enough being drawn through before the battery started to fail - showed me the fuel line priming bulb hidden away in the engine bay to avoid just such a problem.

Useful for next time I guess....

Well one patronising pat on the back for Mrs M, she has never run out of fuel.

She is very cautious and always tells me when i need to go and fill up her car .... :D

(yes that is correct, she has never put fuel in any car....ever).

or put in screenwash...
or gone through a car wash...
or concerned herself with tax/insurance/servicing.

Mind you, I have heard recently that there is no such thing as "magic pixies" that empty the laundry basket and return clean clothes. Who would have thought it.......

Same here...Liz wouldn't dare! She fills it up, too, though. :D

By the way...you're right. It was downright stupid! Rant on!

Ever thought about carrying a spare can of diesel in her car for emergency rations? Could save 6 hours next time  ...and now you know how to bleed the system, so, RAC man not needed. (BTW, she's not got a uniform thing going on has she? )

I see no mention of car-related detritus there. Hmm, see your point...

You got ideas for Mrs L's enjoyment? An orange RAC coat on your shopping list?

Suffer you marridies... except...

Don't have trouble with my Poodle "driving" the car... BUT she has learned how to press the CORRECT window button for up & down... & drives me nuts as she knows that when the engine revs are down... the car is slower (such as going through a town) so she can then look out the open window! True story!!! Then of course, as we speed up again, she continually looks at the centre console.... waiting for me to wind the window up again, so she can then return to her cushion in the passenger seat!

& when I'm in a 'store' she also knows the 'flasher' button will attract attention. Been brought to my attention numerous times.
Bloody Females... "How do "we" beat 'em, Charles???
