I am currently trying to get to the bottom of a random flickering and drop-out of one of my Xenons.
I've changed the bulb, replaced the igniter and have now replaced the control box - but still it will flicker and die but without any consistency.
The latest test is to swap the left/right feeds from the Light Control Module in case that is the cause.
Anyway, whilst investigating, I uncovered the fact that the Xenons on the E46 from early 2003 are an early version of bi-xenon - inasmuch as the xenon assists the full beam by lifting a shutter when full beam is switched on.
As the title says, I didn't know that !!!
I didn't know that !!!
I didn't know that !!!
