Don't know myself, Terry - all I know is that she's running again which means the new head and gasket are fitted and the work on seating the valves is done.

Still some work to do on the secondary air pump, the vacuum pump under the manifold and new headlight covers - hopefully she'll be back in my hnads by the middle of next week.

Great news Charles, this site would not be the same without you and your B3S. :D

Any further news on when you may be getting the car back Charles?

Will she be ready for Gaydon?

Picked her up this afternoon :D

Running beautifully - new head & gasket and new set of valves for cylinder 6 - and I can see properly at night again - courtesy of new headlamp covers.

Not sure about Gaydon, though, as it is No2 son's birthday that day.

Pleased you've got the old girl running sweet again Charles.

Did you upgrade the bulbs at the same time or just replacement covers?

They are xenons - I didn't think you could upgrade these.

So, just new covers and seals to replace the original ones that had become seriously pitted and were refracting the light anywhere but onto the road in front of me
