Hello to Matthew Stripling the new UK ALPINA Brand Manager
Hi all
Further to my thread about James leaving. Just thought I'd introduce Matthew Stripling as his replacement.
For those attending Gaydon you should be able to meet him then.
Thanks
Neil

Hello Everyone!
My apologies for the delay in responding to Neil's message - as you can imagine i've been pretty busy learning all things ALPINA, less stressed now and looking ahead to this exciting new challenge.
I met some of you at Gaydon and enjoyed showing the arrival of B5 BT and B3S; I can't wait for next year!!
I look forward to meeting you all at future events or on visits to Sytner Nottingham
Matt

Hi Matthew.
Nice to have you on board. Maybe one of the things you could help with is the general Sytner group customer service issues many members/owners have. We are one of many recent purchasers from the Sytner group that are genuinely unhappy with the service we have received and whilst wishing to remain loyal to the Alpina brand, we've got to say some of your dealers are not helping your cause.
Cheers
Ade and Liz

I've just had the pleasure of meeting Matthew for the first time over a coffee in the Oxford area and I am looking forward to spending some more time with him to discuss the ALPINA brand and what it really means to us - the owners - rather than how it is treated by the sales people

Quite right Charles. The sales side is a bit of a problem area - new and used. Be good to get this improved.Charles wrote:I've just had the pleasure of meeting Matthew for the first time over a coffee in the Oxford area and I am looking forward to spending some more time with him to discuss the ALPINA brand and what it really means to us - the owners - rather than how it is treated by the sales people

Personally.... I'd suggest that matthew spends a week at Buchloe. Soak up the atmosphere, the customer experience and after sales service.
Then come home and try to align the UK experience with the core brand values.
By its nature, the brand attracts enthusiastic owners, similar I suspect to the m-sport brand. Customers like that require a more engaging experience that your typical "A to B" car owner.
Good luck

Matt would be well advised to sort out the websites. Take his home patch.ade and liz flint wrote:Quite right Charles. The sales side is a bit of a problem area - new and used. Be good to get this improved.
Sytner Nottingham have five approved used Alpinas on there @ 8/10/10. As far as I can see the only one that is described even remotely accurately is the B5 saloon. We also have:
Alpina B3 3.2 Convertible Switchtronic Auto 2008. It's a B3 BT Conv.
Alpina B3 S 3.4 Coupe Manual 2008. It's a B3 BT Coupe. Auto obviously.
B3 Bi Turbo Coupe Manual 2007. Correct....except it's an Auto.
And best of all:
Un Alpina 2007 Auto. It's a D3 Touring. Manual.
