Trip over Buttertubs pass

Post by woolley11 » Tue Dec 12, 2023 9:16 am

When visiting my folks in Hawes - had to do the Buttertubs. Pass in the Alpina. No other traffic so could virtually stop car in road to take pics from driving seat.

EML on due to lambda sensor fault I need to investigate. (If you spotted it illuminated) - still drives flawless 😊

The car and road look fantastic! It's been a good few years since I last drove it.....

I'd not head of Buttertubs but it looks lovely, whenever I think of interesting passes up north Hardknott and Wrynose spring to mind - I've been over them on my bike and in the B10 :)

Many years since i've been over there, absolutely awesome road, and great photos!

I used to enjoy the scenic run from Hawes to Nateby via Thwaite, Keld and Birkdale but not sure i'd do it in the Alpina.

Mores suited to a hire car with balloons for tyres but cracking scenery!
