B4 and B5

Post by ScooBeeFive » Wed Mar 09, 2022 10:43 pm

As the weather is getting a bit better, I’ve managed to catch both cars when they are relatively clean and the sun is shining. Thought I’d share a couple of photos of them together….

A most excellent pairing, both of cars and plates. Bravo

That’s #drivewaygoals right there :dance
I would’ve been tempted to get S1SMP just to get the full on palindrome effect though

Not an EV charging point in sight - Nice to see two shiny ones on the drive and must be right up there for bhp per square foot. Summer is coming so the detailing season begins.

Thanks Guys.

I know cherished plates aren't for everyone, but I've always liked them. I remember being on holiday in Scotland as a kid, and being overtaken by a black Sierra Cosworth with the plate PMS 100. From that moment, I was determined to own a cool car with a nice plate on. I've had S1 PMS since '99. I'd just started work and we had an engineer who used to visit who owned both R1 REA and REA 1R. I always thought it would be great to get PMS 1S. After nearly 20 years of keeping a lookout I saw it listed on Regtransfers. Turned out it had never been issued and was a speculative offer - I approached a local broker who got it into a DVLA auction for me and the rest is history. Probably a bit sad, but I was so chuffed!

As for the B4, I've still not driven it a great deal but hoping that will change now the weather is cheering up. We've got a trip to Wales planned for Saturday in it so really looking forward to some proper roads!

Oh yeah - interesting that the next build was such a similar spec.
