Re: Hello
Welcome - Very nice B3s. I would love to see some more pictures.
I have an early B3 with 3.3 engine, but am tempted by a 3.4.

Re: Hello
Thank you Rav, the car is #178, i have owned it since 2018, bought this one from James Paul, the car spent some
time in the channel Islands, Jersey, I have recently had it serviced, and hope to use it a bit more than I have, it
was advertised as an Individual, but i dont believe that it is, I'll post some more pics soon.

Re: Hello
Thanks, I'm really pleased with it, first Alpina that have owned, and a convertible, I would have liked a B3s E46 touring, but I saw
this and travelled from Cumbria by train, and bought it the same day, drove it home.

Re: Hello
Nice one.
Any touring Alpina deserves the status 'rare as hens teeth' they are a great package, as the Alpina suspension combined with the practically suits the nature of the car. I was similar to you - its not like you can pick and choose the perfect one that easily. The selling points for mine were colour combo, history, good vendor and low mileage...
Driving through cumbria must have been pretty cool. The big advantage of our cabrios is that you get to hear that glorious buchloe built engine - its a tad better sound in the cab.

Re: Hello
Welcome and that's lovely. I've had two E46 convertibles in the past and loved both, and they weren't Alpina ones. I bet Alpina changes really suit the car

Re: Hello
Looks lovely. I've had the pleasure of driving a similar car and it's a nice way to cruise around.
If you get rear end vibration issues, that's fairly normal on E46 cabriolet and it's rarely wheel balance issues. Sometimes it's so bad, the rear view mirror blurs. A rubber-isolated battery tray is the usual fix to reduce its mass effect on the rear dynamics, but trawl the 'net and you may see other " fixes", good and bad.
Cheers

Re: Hello
Thanks to you all for your kind words, and advice, there seems to be quite a lot of new enthusiasts discovering these
fantastic cars lately, my car has done 64K so it will require new shock absorbers, and a head gasket at some stage,
but well worth it for such a nice car, its not without fault I bought it with Uniroyal tyres, but will run these and replace
with suitable Michelin items, there is a small ding in the door, but annoyingly a small crack in the rear bumper, which
was done while my wife and I were away last year in a hotel car park, there are some pixels missing on the dash readout,
but other than that its not bad.
