Looking good hap. Part of my clean process is to clean out the arches l, still need to find a easy way of accessing the rear arch lip...as the wheel is so close to the arch. By comparison I find the cab sits that few mm lower at rear thus making the task that little bit trickier....

I thought of this and did it carefully
Used my lads coat hanger worked a treat and the hook sits inside as you follow the arch

Nice idea but be careful about the metal tip scratching any protective surface inside the rim.

Perhaps wrap some tape around the end?

It was a metal one with a tiny circular blob at end so gentle pressure

Still looks good when washed Hap. Silver is the best colour to leave "unwashed".

Both F11’s look great! I too took my D5 down to the Alps a couple of weeks ago. What comfortable and economical transport they make!

Fantastic - making great use of the cars, I'm very jealous! I used to love a Euro road trip down to the Alps. I've not driven out of the country since we had kids and my eldest is now 9. However, we have booked the Eurotunnel for the first time in years for May half term - heading to Disney Paris. Looking forward to the journey in the B5!

We have been the opposite Paul, since kids we have mainly been driving to different holiday spots across Europe. Driving over the Alps is much more enjoyable than taking a glance out of a plane window in the hope of seeing some mountains if not too cloudy.

Kids are used to long trips and as long as fed, watered and entertained, dvd's, ipds etc then all is good. Even better with an Alpina.

Sounds good Paul - I need to get ours trained up for the longer journeys. We're still very much in the 'Are we there yet?' zone!
