Some Pictures of the E90 B3 Bi-Turbo

Post by B3FNA » Fri Jun 07, 2019 11:06 am

So i drove up to Edinburgh on Monday of this week, and back down to the midlands on Tuesday around 650 Miles ish round trip and drove across some really awesome roads. Lovely country roads like the A73. Took some pictures of the car not that many and they aren't that great but figured i would upload some. Hope you guys enjoy. I was very impressed with my new tyres very resistant to aquaplaning and so much grip in the wet very pleased :D.

Wouldn't be a trip to Scotland if i didn't smuggle some teabags and Scones!!

Stunning! I was considering a B3 Bi-Turbo recently to replace my E46 B3.

You pictures have made me want to start looking again. There was one up for sale near Reading. Black with Lemon interior.

Those roads look like fun....Did you manage any Chris Harris style power slides?

Was the one in reading a saloon? Ive not seen any other saloons come up yet been looking.

The grip was good couldn't get the back end out very easily and other local nutters were scaring me driving around very fast on the roads too haha. :-) I tend to drive in a very old man chilled out fashion and making swift progress more than anything. The roads were a lot of fun a lot of sharp and long beds up and down dips etc it was a great place to drive and lots of nice scenery.

i did however stop to try and rescue and help a baby sheep who had gotten out of its field and was walking on the road where car's and lorries were hurtling round the bend at 60+ MPH. But i couldn't get anywhere near it, it kept running away terrified so in the end call the Police and told them to come and save it. It nearly got killed by a careless guy in a Jag at one point!!! Big thanks to all the guys that drove past saw what i was doing but still didn't stop to help.

The little sheep bless it. It tried to Ram me :-(

Saw this at a service station found it adorable :D

E90 B3 Bi-Turbo #157

Good comparison hap, but that roof spoiler isn't for me. And I think the wood trim looks like a darker shade from last time Munich had it for sale.

Think I prefer my car. I'm a big sucker for dark exterior and light interior. I think I did well on mine for the price I paid have spent a fair bit on Maintanence to be fair.

I wonder if Alpina did change the turbos from the stock 335i? Is there a list of changes they made available anywhere?

Yes I have he's busy during the summer holidays and I might wait as ideally I would have my front bumper repsrayed to get rid of stone chips and the car fully detailed first so will get this work done first.

I’m sorely tempted if a good few of us attend then yes
it could be that John Goodwin may attend assuming he has another alpina as he was a regular at gaydon so that would be good for you to chat with him re your car

I’m in north lincs

You bham? I have family there
You could get a nice hotel on the Saturday and then go gaydon

I think most likely I will be attending will confirm once i book my ticket. I'm only 40 odd miles away so will just drive up on the day. I will add my name once I book my ticket. Yes it would be awesome to meet him and talk to him about the car fingers crossed.

Yes I'm birmingham based. If you do ever come to visit let me know if you have time to meet up 😁
