E91 B3sBiturbo #127: gratuitous pix
As requested in a thread elsewhere, some gratuitous pix of the latest B3Sbiturbo to join us, E91 #127, 1 of 3 in the UK.
She was owned by a good friend (and occasional passer-through here) for 4 years who has looked after her very, very well indeed, and other than a few usual mile marks, she's pretty tidy for a 7 year old 48k car.
She's lightly optioned, with the pano roof, business loudspeaker, climate comfort screen, rear parking, piano trim w/insignia, sun protection glass, lumbar support and cd plus DAB the only options.
The previous owner had her fully striped prior to taking her on from Sytner Notts. I've swapped a few badges (at epic cost for the B3Sbiturbo badge ) which were aged and pitted, serviced the aircon and plan to get the wheels refurbed before the winter salt does any more damage where there are a few chips and marks...plus I'm not too keen on the original Sytner diamond cut tips which have a white 'halo' effect I've not seen previously. So off to Platinum in Swindon they shall go. Hatch is obviously a concern with the corrosion issue I identified, and if I get the go ahead and I'm happy with the potential quality of Sytner Cardiff's workshop, I may ask them to do the front bumper and splitter whilst in there to remove the worst of the road rash from the car as otherwise pretty tidy. Oh, and of course to sort that differential to a more suitable variety befitting a car with 400hp, 540Nm.
So here for you wagon loving perverts is #127. Enjoy, because we do
Now maybe Onzie should add a few pix of #114 and we'll have 2 of the 3 in one post..... ...and if #72 was to crop up, too

Oddly, it's not a colour I'd have chosen if new. But, the silver deco helps it pop, and the shadow line trim helps, too, so I'm getting quite into it now. Choice was also limited.....to this, or nothing; and nothing is no fun!Metrics wrote:Lovely, Space Grey is a lovely colour

Apologies from here but I wasn't aware he'd had contact from other parties regarding any possible sale as he definitely wasn't going to advertise it. His stance had always been that first and only refusal came this way and once Sytner offered against it for him as a baseline, the > 50% extra already offered from this end before their offer was made was obviously advantageous, but not the reason for the deal. And as I know all of its history for past 4years, I was happy to honour my offer even after finding out it's 'true value'.simon13 wrote:Lovely, i'm sure i'd asked for a chance to bid come sale time but hey ho!
I already have offers if I did wish to sell, so form a disorderly queue and prepare for a very long wait as it's not going anywhere.

Indeed you are, Kev. Cheers!E24man wrote:Wagon loving pervert checking in
Looks lovely, including the subtle decals
Decals make the car look 'different'. I like that
It never was 'for sale'....it was 'Ade, do you want it, or no? If not I'm keeping' He didn't 'need' to sell but it was always going to be offered to me if he sold since the day he bought it. Dropped just nicely for us as a garage space had recently become free and I was looking for 'interesting' to carry 4 people in comfort. I did look at E90 M3's but just couldn't do it.....AidanB10 wrote:If this had of been for sale when I traded my D3BT!!!
Hi Roy! I was never far away.....this one kept me involved whilst I was enjoying other things164 coupe wrote:Very nice, Ade. Good to see you back in an Alpina and posting up here again.

Jealousy is good, Simon. It gets the queue longer if ever there is a resale time. Think there are now 4 in it with no prompting, but let's be fair, I dropped lucky just over 4 years ago when I got involved in this. It could have been anyone jumping in before someone I knew wanted it. I think it was sold unadvertised last time: Notts had told me it was around and available, and I put people in contact to do the deal.simon13 wrote:Ade there can't be two is this colour or maybe the car i was thinking of was an earlier B3 not as S like this
It was a while ago, no hard feelings just jealousy!
This is the only Space Grey S, and AFAIK there is a non-S in Space, so possible it was that one. The guy who owned this previously was quite private and kept under the radar as much as possible, but he did attend one or two car events in it and you may well have crossed paths. I don't recollect him telling me: he usually enjoyed bumping into other Alpina nerds and I often got to hear what he'd perved over.
