Track car must have broke so they took the tow car out!

Yep. That’s exactly what happened. Threw track rods on the sighting laps 9am so it was either the Alp or go home.
Fun but expensive

Did both fronts at £300 each … and there was plenty of life left in them beforehand. Damn things had chunks missing by the end of the day and I’m not sure the brakes have fully recovered but FUN

I can imagine - road tyres never fare well on a racetrack haha!
The continuous abrasion and resulting heat just ruins them.
Fair play for taking it out though, great stuff!
