Eastern Breakfast Meet 21st Aug Sandtoft Airfield DN9 1PN 10am

Since owning an Alpina (nearly 2 years) there has been a few attempts to generate a small alpina meet for local Yorks and Lincs owners with only marginal success. Given I missed Sommerfest due to Covid I thought I would give it another try.

We have had two attempts
Nov 21- Hap,Marc76 and I met at the NY500 cafe
Mat 22 - Bob visited the motorist and we had 4 cars in total with Paul and another from the FB Group, sorry Bob got poor memory for names.

Location is Sandtoft Aero club cafe, just to east of Doncaster, so right on Haps doorstep. I am going to give the C2 it’s first outing to a event in my hands and Marc 76 has committed to bring a dirty F11 D5.

I am Hap, still got a bit of brain fog and very tired but defo feeling a bit better.

Not sure of location as never been before. Nick Wright has organised a few and he likes to move them around so we have done NY500, Motorist, York Basin and Sherburn aero club all local to me.

I will be aiming to get there about 9 as it’s generally the time things start to get going, but these events are low key and often people drift in and out for a few hours.

I got in touch with Geoff with his silver B3 but he is away and I’ve messaged big blue n linked it to thom from Lincoln who was asking at donnington about local meets
Would have liked to go to cleggy but need to be back to pack to go up to Filey early Monday so I’ll be there until other do the drive

I quite fancy a Sunday morning blast up the A46/A1 for a skinny latte and bacon cob.

Just back from a week in South West Wales with the family and found time to throw a bucket of water over the car after 1000 Welsh miles.

I’ll second that Hap, a great little get together and a pleasure to finally meet your good self in person. Two hours plus disappeared in a flash for me just talking cars, car stuff and listening! The depth of knowledge and passion all you guys there today have for the brand and its vehicles is astounding, should "have got" Alpina earlier in life.
Adams C2 is indeed a thing of beauty. To my eyes the form and proportion of the E30 saloon rate as highly as classic Porsche’s, the C1 Corvette and BMW 3.0 CSL Batmobile. A lovely little thing.
