My thanks to those people who were able to attend, especially the gent from Weston Super Mare you arrived Saturday, got it wrong, went home and came back Sunday. You do get the prize for furthest travelled.

The prize of a 12 month free subscription to the BMW Car Club GB Limited was chosen by Martyn Goodwin the Chairman of the Club and awarded to David Gill, ALPINA B10 V8S Touring. He was delighted he had been chosen.

Thanks to Gary Lott and his colleague Alex and to "Car park Pete" who counted 86 ALPINA, but included a white GT3 from a customer "for sale".

Bob Whiffin, the master who helped correctly put the list together, with computer skills this old man does not have.

If you are able to attend please consider the Sommerfest Aug 7th at Donnington, log on to BMWCCGB web site and follow the Sommerfest link, you must pre book. Please also view the Silverstone Classic ALPINA display and event details are on this forum site.

The events both have dedicated ALPINA only display parking.

It was worth all the effort to see the pleasure of those ALPINA owners and I hope that this will not be the last "Sytner" occasion. We did not see Frank Sytner as he was flying back to the UK and travel plans changed, he apologised for not being able to attend.

It was great there were so many cars at the meet yesterday. Nice to see another V8S Touring and talk to the owner. And as Norman said, I was delighted my car was chosen to receive a one year subscription by the chairman of the BMW Car Club GB for being his favorite Alpina on the day!

Well done Dave, sorry I didn’t get a chance to say hello yesterday.

I failed to take many pics at all yesterday … too busy chatting! Did manage to get one of #062 with here Cabrio sister (notwithstanding the later Type189 splitter the specs are very similar!)

Gold lettering is looking great Ade 👌

Throughly enjoyed yesterday, was great to see everyone.

Only downside I now need that Edition 50. Anybody want to buy a kidney?

That Heritage leather is awesome. On reflection I was quite taken with Aftab’s B6 BT too. The spec on that is epic but it is hard to see the Ruby effect under even quite sunny conditions.

I loved the B6 aswell, ironically both been through Bramley. When moving about I could see the ruby coming through and it was lovely although I think it would be nice in Techno violet

Hi Tony. So glad to see you are on here!

We spoke about your 288 yesterday. You were very kind about my green B5.

A worthy winner - fantastic combination of exterior and interior colours. The wood is also amazing. Was great to get to see it in the metal.

I loved this pair as well - I'll always be a big E36 fan. The owner of the cab mentioned he might be selling - if I didn't have the B4 I'd be making him an offer. I remember it coming up for sale previously but I wasn't in a position to buy at that point. It's a lovely car.

He’s floated a ‘what’s it worth, I was thinking £20k’ post on Facebook tonight

Thanks Norman.

Yes I am the hump who drove 300+ miles to basically have lunch.

I did have a coffee and chat with Alex, Gary Lotts assistant.

I also walked round the Sytner showroom for 5 mins.

Then blasted it home :)

At least I'm committed :?
