Beaulieu 4th October 20 - still on

Post by Norrie » Fri Sep 25, 2020 3:40 pm

I know a number of people from here have purchased a ticket for the Beaulieu BMW event on 4th Oct 20. It has NOT sold out and no tickets on the day. Groups and Car Clubs are not permitted and every one is entering as a private individual.

The cars will be displayed in the order that they enter the event, some people have indicated they would like to park next to each other. As such there is a loose plan to meet at Rownhams services on the M27 appox 0845 that morning. It is about a 30 minutes drive from there and the gates don't open until 0930 as at current information. 1000 to the public who bought tickets.

The no more the Six and other common Covid type precautions will apply, hope to see you there if you have booked.

Just spoken to Beaulieu and as far as they are concerned the event is still on. They said they have plenty of hard standing and will park all BMs and Alpinas on that.

Hi All, managed to get a last minute ticket for beaulieu this morning, hope to join you all at the services ~8.45 in my B12. Though I'm coming quite a way so don't wait up if I'm late. Hopefully no traffic on the M3 at this time on a Sunday.

I'm assuming they'll accept a ticket on a phone? It mentions that they need the ticket printed out, but my printer is currently fubar.

Looking forward to meeting some new Alpina folk, think I've only previously met Norman, at Gaydon last year

I will be there (at Beaulieu) but not yet sure I will be in one of the Alpinas for various reasons.

Weather was pants, but here's a photo of all the Buchloe cars that made it yesterday. Great to meet some new faces from the forum

And yes, they parked us on the very wet grass, and now I need to jet wash the bottom of my car. Not a great decision imho, given the huge area of tarmac we had to walk across to get to the museum

Nice pic Drew, some nice cars lined up there.

If you have a patio cleaner attachment on your jet wash, invert it, will make light work of cleaning your chassis.

Anyone seeing them together would think that ALPINAs only come in blue or black

That's a pain, when I contacted the organisers on Saturday they assured me they would use the hard standing :liar
Was going but decided that the weather was too bad, also cancelled my proposed trip after the show as the South West is taking a hammering :?

Shame the weather wasn’t great but nice to have a chance to get some Alpinas together. They look great in the line up. Fingers crossed for some more events next year.
