3rd ALPINA Meet 19th April 20 Milton Keynes

Post by Norrie » Mon Feb 17, 2020 2:07 am

I am pleased that we have arranged the 3rd meet for ALPINA owners on Sunday 19th April 2020. The format is the same at the two previous meeting and is an informal opportunity for owners to meet and chat everything ALPINA. We have once again teamed up with Alan & Shelly Dewick the owners of the Simply Good Coffee Shop 49 Singleton Drive, Grange Park, Milton Keynes MK8 0PX.

time 1000 onwards
Parking opposite the Coffee shop - free and block paved and adequate for at least 50 cars.
Food and Drink & Toilets in the Coffee shop

We have had a good response to the suggestion from the FB page Genuine ALPINA owners and all ALPINA cars and owners welcome. If your car is off the road for any reason please do still attend if you are able to do so.

Please can you guarantee some nice weather for this Norman :)

I had a look at the location and the coffee shop's Facebook page a has a nice picture of a few Alpina's lined up from last time so I'm definitely up for this as per my comment on our FB page. I need to check speed camera locations now between me and MK, not that I would ever speed of course.....

I intended to be at the two previous MK events last year, but each time fate got in the way, so I am reluctant to promise this year, but I will still try :!:
B3 BiTurbo Cabrio #121 (E93) + Quaife ATB LSD
X1 2.0 Twin-Scroll Turbo xDrive #zillion (F48) ... really useful, if only an XB1 existed !

--- but when you are up to your ears in alligators it can be relatively difficult to remember that your original idea was to drain the swamp --- hmmm

I can personally recommend a Cheetah 550...

I've installed them in our cars and they're discreet and invaluable - especially for the in-town cameras

We shall have to see how the Corona Virus may or may not impact upon this proposed event. However, in some respects it never has to be cancelled as no actual monies paid or infrastructure change. If the owners of the Cafe are closed, isolating or something else I shall aim to post it up here so no one has a wasted journey. Your personal Health & Welfare is your priority and only each individual can make that risk assessment.

Re: 3rd ALPINA Meet 19th April 20 Milton Keynes - Cancelled

In view of all the current information regarding the Virus and meetings, it is best for the Health and Safety that we cancel this meet until such time as the crisis has ended. You will no doubt notice that events after this date have already be cancelled or postponed if one prefers that version.

Hey all,

Real shame, but absolutely the right thing to do. We all need to focus on staying healthy and safe at the moment. Follow the guidelines and lets hope we can get through this and out the other side to an awesome Alpina meet.
