Classics on the Crick (edited) now 30th August 2020 - CANCELLED

Post by Wellsy » Tue Jan 21, 2020 11:37 am

Morning All,

Sharing another local car show to me, this is a relatively small event held in Naphill Bucks. As you can see below its a charity day and helps the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. The event attracts all sorts of car's from pre war to modern day super cars.
We can book as a club and they will reserve a space for us. Show opens to public at 10am so we would need to meet before and arrive around 9am to get parked up. Show finishes at 4pm.
They are always keen to have cars of interest at the show. Entry's are open so if we want to do something as a club let me know and I can contact them. (Or of course, Simon or Norman if you want to drive, all details are below).

Classics on the Crick
Charity Car Show
Sunday 14th June 2020
Entries now Open

Raising money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance

Classics on Crick returns for the 7th successive year on Sunday 14th June 2020.

As usual we promise a great day out with a relaxed Classic Car Show that caters for all types of cars, bikes, commercials and scooters.

There will be live music throughout the afternoon, complemented by an excellent selection of food and drinks.

A number of other attractions are planned to keep the whole family entertained.

We offer a full selection of competitive classes to enter along with Best in Show Trophies and our ever popular Public's Choice Award.

All profits from the show go straight to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. In 2019 we raised £15,000 for this local lifesaving charity. We would delighted for you to join us again.

Entries can now be made via our website.

https://www.classicsonthecrick.co.uk

Last year we reached capacity and we had to turn people away, therefore we strongly advise that you enter in advance.

Now that the show has grown to such as size, if you wish to enter your vehicle into one of the judging classes, you must pre-enter.

Pre-entries will close on Friday 5th June 2020.

If you have any questions or queries, please contact us at

entries.classicsonthecrick@gmail.com

If you would like to attend as a club, please also contact us at the above address.

Finally, if you would like to get more involved and help out on the day, again please email

Hi, that could be a go-er for me. I'm not that far away as just the other side of Reading. Nice to get some plans in for the Summer.

I could well be interested, however I do take it that you are suggesting a pure ALPINA only gathering? I need to check my Silverstone race diary to see if this clashes with anything. Thanks for taking the initiative. How far is it for the Holiday inn at Crick do you know? Perhaps if there is something at Silverstone on Saturday I can combine it.

I guess this might not be Crick Northamptonshire?

Hi Norman,

This is Naphill Buckinghamshire, not far from RAF royal command centre.

Main Rd, Naphill, High Wycombe HP14 4SX

I would estimate around 45mins from Silverstone.

OK great,

3 interested so far so enough to ask them to hold a place for us, we can confirm numbers closer to the date, so I've e-mailed the entries team and shown our interest in entering as the Alpina Register.

I'll sort out a meeting point before the show and we can run up together, that way will be easier to all park together. Will see where we can meet and make the drive in a bit of fun.

1 - Mark D3 Biturbo
2 - Norman B7
3 - Jules - let me know what you have

Anyone else please comment on here.

Thanks

As you will see on the home page click on CLICK HERE TO ENTER YOUR CAR OR COMMERCIAL.

Cost is £10 for car, driver and 1 passenger.

last year I met a few guys in a local Pub Car Park so we could drive up in convoy. Arriving in convoy ensures we are parked together.

Hi Norman,

They are not strict on entering as a club, to be honest I don't think they are set up that way. We went as the Thames BMWCC last year and we meet up before hand and arrived in convoy. I told the organiser we were arriving as a club and they had an area kept clear for us.
Enter as individuals and then we can sort out a meeting point and time before hand.

Obviously I will keep an eye on the web site and post on here if there is any news on if it is still happening.

I turned up on spec last year, in my CSL rather than the B12. It's very local to me. I think I may also have photo bombed the BMWCC guys. Was a good day, though not much to do for the kids. Will be there again this year if it's on...
